Fulfilling Our Promise
The Debt Reduction Phase Campaign

Campaign Reaches Goal!
Through the generosity of our parishioners during our very successful 2006-2009 Fulfilling Our Promise capital campaign, we raised $6 million toward our $10.3 million building project. When we add in the $1.3 million in carrying costs and expenses, we are left a current debt of $5.6 million. To address our needs, we initiated an intensive fundraising effort entitled Fulfilling Our Promise: The Debt Reduction Phase campaign. Our aim with this important effort has been to raise the funds required to reduce our debt from our extensive church and school renovations - a minimum goal of $3 million was set. As of July 27 our pledges have reached $3,078,817. While the active phase of soliciting pledges is over, pledges will continue to be accepted by contacting Cindy Schriever, Dir. of Development, 952.473.6601 ext 228. Whatever the gift, please be assured that your support is both needed and will be greatly appreciated. Please join us in this exciting and essential effort to better our service to one another, to our community, and to Christ.
St. Bartholomew has been a growing, life-giving Catholic Faith Community for nearly 94 years. From the humble beginning of the twelve founding families in 1916, we have grown into one of the most welcoming communities with over 1,200 families. We have built a strong tradition of worship and formation that makes us a vibrant, active, and dynamic place for people of all ages to grow in faith, serve others, and share the Good News of Jesus as we connect with Christ, one another, and those in need.
Four years ago, we came together in our efforts with a very successful campaign that provided the resources necessary to transform our campus with a new worship space, improved school facilities, new offices, updated meeting rooms, and increased parking. Thanks to a generous outpouring of commitments, we were able to complete all our necessary projects. We are grateful for all that we have accomplished and give thanks to God that so many people have done so much to get us to this point.

We completed all our projects at the absolute best time for our faith community, culminating six years of planning and preparing by our members. Unfortunately, it also landed our project at the peak of the construction costs for the decade. This meant our project costs were higher than the early estimates provided by the architect in our planning process. However, once our budget was set we worked diligently and came in on budget. In round numbers, the cost to construct our extraordinary new facilities was $10.3 million. Through the generosity of our parishioners during our very successful Fulfilling the Promise campaign, we raised $6 million. When we add in the $1.3 million in carrying costs and expenses, we are left a current debt of $5.6 million.

Whatever the gift or method of making it may be, please be assured that your support is both urgently needed and will be greatly appreciated. Through the prayerful, volunteer and financialsupport of many, and the extraordinary support of a few, we will succeed in our task.
In joining this essential effort, we may fulfill our promise of stewardship to the church and to our faith, while we renew our commitment to our mission to celebrate Jesus Christ in the Eucharist, form disciples through faith formation and education, provide care and support for those in need, and seek justice for all God’s children.
Please join us in this exciting and essential effort to better our service to one another, to our community, and to Christ.
