We welcome you to our Sunday morning preschool program. A summary of the religion readiness materials is below. To enroll, children must be 4 years of age by September 1.

              You have the choice of signing your child up for either the 8:30 a.m. or the 10:30 a.m. sessions. The class sessions are held during the Sunday morning Masses in the lower level of the church.

St. Bartholomew Sunday Preschool, like all of our faith formation programs for children, is staffed by volunteers. Classes are structured with a minimum of two teachers for each group of 10-12 children. This allows for one person teaching and one person to take care of the necessary tasks of maintaining a learning environment.

God Made the World, Age 4 Program

This preschool religion program is designed to support parents in educating their children about the Catholic faith by helping children:

• Develop positive attitudes.
• Increase children's knowledge about God and their friendship with Jesus.
• Learn about the seasons of Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter.
• Expand children's knowledge and practice of Christian actions toward others.

God Made the World provides learning experiences based on the preschool level.

God Loves Us, Age 5 - Kindergarten

This religion readiness program invites children to realize and express their joy in God's wonderful gifts. The booklets the children use in class make it easy for parents to track progress by discussing the learning experience with their child.

The core content of the kindergarten God Loves Us covers age appropriate scripture, prayer and worship, doctrine and Christian morality.

This program provides an opportunity for the children, the parents and the catechist to rejoice in specific gifts of God's love and to celebrate belonging to God's family through following Jesus.
