
What are school hours?
8:10 a.m. Classrooms open.
8:25 a.m. Classes begin.
3:00 p.m. K-6th school day ends.
3:10 p.m. Preschool school day ends
Is before and after-school care available?
Yes. Our extended day program, “Clubhouse,” runs from 7:00 a.m. until the start of school, and from the end of school until 6:00 p.m.
Is bus service available?
Yes. Children residing in the Wayzata School District #284 may use this service.
Do the children attend Mass?
Yes. The children attend Mass every Wednesday at 8:45 a.m., except the third Wednesday of each month when they have prayer service/liturgy practice. Holy days are also observed.
Do the children wear uniforms?
Yes. A copy of the uniform policy is available upon request. It provides information about what to wear, how It should be worn and where items can be purchased. Used uniforms sales provide another option for purchasing gently used clothing.
What extracurricular activities are available through St. Bartholomew School?
Our children enjoy Choir, Band, Science Enrichment, Chess Club, Math Olympiad, summer camps offered by school staff, Brownies/Girls Scouts and Cub/Boy Scouts. Some of these activities do have a fee.
Are sport programs offered at St. Bartholomew?
Not formally, but our students often participate in community recreational programs. The community programs are very accommodating in placing St. Bart’s kids on teams together if the requests are made by the parents.
How do we learn the inner-workings of the school in our first year?
We are happy to pair you with a host family who will be your guide and provide answers to you about anything from uniforms to fundraisers to classroom activities.
Can parents play a role in the day-to-day education and community needs of the school?
Yes! Parent volunteers are critical to St. Bartholomew School’s success. Numerous opportunities exist for the classroom, lunch room, playground, field trips, fundraisers, community events and so on. Each family is strongly encouraged to commit 20 hours of volunteer time to the school each year.
What type of school communication is there?
There is a weekly newsletter called, “The Bulldog Bugle.” Each Wednesday an envelope is sent home with one family member which will include the newsletter and other pertinent information. Some teachers have newsletters and memos, too. Finally, our website is another option for news and information:
