ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Join us for a study on Paul’s compassionate letter to the Philippians and see how authentic friendship can lead to salvation.
Paul’s affection for the Christian community at Philippi is apparent from his opening words: “I give thanks to my God at every remembrance of you”. The Philippians were Paul’s spiritual friends as they shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with Paul and within their community. At the heart of this letter is Paul’s eloquent hymn of Christ’s total gift of self, the model for Paul’s life. With his words and the example of his life, Paul exhorts the Philippians to have the mind of Christ, to live a life worthy of the Gospel, and, by God’s grace, to gain friendship with Christ thereby securing their salvation.
