Our parishioners who have suffered the loss of a spouse deserve our special care and concern. Psalm 68:5 praises God as the “protector of widows” (NRSV). Even so, the loss of a spouse plunges people into the very heart of the mystery of suffering that is one of the main challenges of life.
This group will meet every other Tuesday. There will be time for reflection, prayer, and sharing experiences. Our patron will be St. Elizabeth of Hungary, the patron saint of widows and widowers, whose life inspires those who suffer the grief of a lost spouse to use the time God gives them still for their own good and the good of others.
