Joel Anderson serves Saint Olaf Catholic Church, in downtown Minneapolis, as Director of Music and Principal Organist, where he oversees an extensive and diverse music ministry program. Absorbed in organ and piano from a young age, he was awarded the Silver Medal, the highest honor in organ studies, from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada. He has also studied music at Jämsän Kristillinen Kansanopisto in Finland; in Minnesota at Century College, the University of St. Thomas, and Saint John’s University. Joel has been active in Canada and the Twin Cities area as a recitalist, recording artist, composer, producer, and arranger. Joel has been an organist at Saint Olaf since 2016.
