Dear Friends in Christ,
St. Bartholomew is participating in the Lord, Renew Your Church capital campaign, along with every parish in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. The pastoral priorities of the campaign target: parish needs, education and formation of children and young people, restoration of the Cathedral of Saint Paul and the Basilica of St. Mary, care for our active, retired, and future priests, resources for those facing emergency or extraordinary needs
The spiritual goals of the campaign are to renew, strengthen, and unify our local church, ensuring a vibrant proclamation of the Gospel today and for generations to come.
Approximately 720,000 Catholics call this Archdiocese their spiritual home. The Lord, Renew Your Church campaign offers us the opportunity to work with each other and Archbishop Hebda to help others discover the joy of knowing, following, and imitating Jesus Christ. Please prayerfully review the impact Lord, Renew Your Church will have on St. Bart’s and the Archdiocese and then join me in participating in this historic campaign.
Our Goal
The Archdiocese has assigned St. Bart’s a goal of raising $2.63 million of the overall campaign goal of $250 million. Our parish will retain $1,578,000 (60%) of those funds for capital updates at St. Bart’s.

FUNDING RENEWAL AND CHANGE
Our goal of $2.63 million represents 138% of our average Sunday giving over the last two years. At this goal, our parish will retain 60% of funds raised to help us serve all age groups that call St. Bart’s their spiritual home. As we raise funds beyond our $2.63 million goal, we will retain a higher percentage of the funds, thus allowing us to do even more. Our stretch goal for this campaign is $6 million. We hope, when asked, you will prayerfully consider a thoughtful gift to the campaign. We are one Archdiocesan community and one family at St. Bart’s. With everyone’s help, we can make this campaign a huge success.
NARTHEX AND FELLOWSHIP HALL RENOVATION
The campaign will help us focus on our radical hospitality – welcoming and gathering our community in a contemporary, branded space. Our plan is to include:
a coffee bar and upgrades to the kitchen
a new nursery with family restroomsrenovation of Fellowship Hall into a large meeting space with flexibility to break the area into smaller meeting rooms – allowing us to host keeping our older adult activities on the first floor, lessening the need to take the elevator to the basement
RESTROOM UPGRADES
The campaign will allow us to upgrade our outdated restrooms, more than doubling the current capacity. These updates will increase accessible stalls to ensure all guests are safe and welcome and allow us to accommodate larger event
NEW PLAYGROUND
The campaign will help us to create a new play space for our youngest children of God. This playground not only serves our school children, but also parish children and neighborhood children, but is also a well-loved play space for parish and neighborhood children.
DIGITAL SIGN
A new digital sign on the corner of Wayzata Boulevard and Broadway Street will allow us to have higher visibility in the Wayzata community, attracting area families to parish and school activities.
