About Middle School Youth Ministry at St. Bart’s:

Welcome! We are delighted that you are exploring St. Bart's Youth Ministry program for your middle schooler. We believe that each and every student, regardless of age, was designed to know Christ, be transformed by His love, and sent out to share Him with those in need. Our greatest joy and deepest fulfillment lie in discovering and pursuing His purposes for our life.

There is no junior Holy Spirit—the journey begins now!

The Middle School youth program will meet in-person on Sunday evenings. All students and their families are invited to begin the night with our 5:00 pm Sunday evening mass, featuring contemporary worship music led by Teresa Peterson and Lindsay Rohr. From there, middle schoolers will meet from 6:15pm until 8:00pm for an evening filled with fun activities, fellowship, worship, prayer, and small-group sharing. We will also explore the beauty of the sacraments, Scripture, and the importance of cultivating life of virtue as revealed through the Catholic Faith.

These nights help our middle schoolers to begin to discover their unique gifts and talents and learn to walk more closely with Jesus. We also focus on helping them build healthy, meaningful connections with their peers and culvitating a strong sense of community and belonging. By working with students on the personal, communal, and institutional dimensions of our Faith, we encourage them to become fully the saints God intended them to be!

Youth Ministry and Confirmation

Starting this year, Confirmation will be moving to a two-year model. Students 8th grade and above are invited to register for Confirmation Preparation to discern and prepare to receive the sacrament. All Confirmation candidates are encouraged to also participate in St. Bart’s Youth Ministry program, either through the Middle School offering or with the High School CORE team as is appropriate to their age. The chance to cultivate a deeper connection with Christ and stronger friendships with Catholic peers helps students embrace the beautiful, life-long adventure with Christ that begins in Confirmation.
